So now that I am 22 weeks pregnant (yeah over half way there to meeting our little one) I guess it is time to let the blogging community know that we are excepting! Thus far everything has been normal and healthy! The sex of baby Brian is still unknown and will continue to be till around December 12th (per John C)! He has been vocal from our finding out that he didn't want to know. So, even though I would love to find out if it's a boy or a girl there is so much that I get to experience throughout this journey that I figure he can have this! Everyone has a story about finding out they were excepting and ours is no different! April 4th John C left to rodeo in California for over a month leaving me home to man the ranch. Tuesday April 7th just a couple of days into his being gone I took a pregnancy test and found out the wonderful news! It was hard to tell him over the phone! We had been trying for awhile and the hope of becoming pregnant seemed a far out dream! It was a very very long 40 days till he came home! We told our families at Mothers' Day!
Needless to say the last several months our lives have changed full swing! I have been busy getting the baby's room ready (of course gender neutral) and trying to stay out of the Texas heat. John C has continued to stay of the rodeo trail. As a matter of fact, last month I got to fly up and meet him in Cheyenne. I got to stay on the road with him for about two weeks and had a blasted! I do have to add that I think Baby Brian was his good luck charm that run every rodeo that I went with John C to he placed at! Cheyenne, Wy and Deadwood, Sd are rodeos I will be attending with him next year as well!
We are truly blessed and can't wait for the next chapter in our lives to start!
